WP 1 Energy Integration of Industrial Processes and New Fuels

In this work package, innovations with regards to industrial surplus heat utilization; the use of residual biomass and CO2 effluents from industry; the combined treatment of waste water while using the low heating value in the solid waste; all with integration with the built environment demands can be considered. Also, biogas production; and reversed fuel cell technology are areas for further study under this work package.

Participating universities are PoliTo, Aalto, and UPC. Main industrial partners are Stora Enso and BNLCE.
A suitable background for this WP is a MSc in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Bio-chemistry.
