The Beginning of our very SELECT master´s programme, for the benefit of humankind

It is with great pleasure we present to you this very first newsletter from the master´s programme SELECT. The timing is suitable as we approach the kick-off the programme- students arrive at KTH in mid August, and classes start August 27.

SELECT explores the topic of Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems. The very foundation of SELECT is to consider the conversion chain, from primary energy source to final energy service delivered to mankind, and those pathways which ensure minimal environmental impact while maintaining sustainable
economy. This task requires a solid foundation in the sciences of energy engineering, like thermodynamics
— a word that originates from Greek, meaning heat and power.
